General instructions for patients visiting the clinics

Things you need to bring along with you:

Your ID – all the documents related to your medical condition as medical reports, lab tests and imaging reports and your current medication boxes (medication boxes are preferred to their prescriptions).

Question: Patients usually ask why do I need to bring the medication boxes if I have the medical prescriptions?

Answer: The reason you need to bring the medications rather than the prescriptions is that patients usually visit doctors’ clinics with medication prescriptions that they use some and not all of the medications prescribed in them and when we confirm, by medication names, which ones they are using and which ones they are not, they start to describe the size and color of tablets they are using rather than confirm names. This leaves physicians with very little information about what kind of medications the patients are actually using.

Consultation fees are the same for all patients visiting DHMC. No extra fees are required by patients from any foreign countries.

There is no fast-track consultation service at the center as this is incompatible with the appointment system at the center

Time with the doctor: Rest assured you will have enough time with the doctor and you will be able to talk about all your medical problems and express all your concerns. If you have many questions and you fear you might forget some of them, please write them down on a piece of paper before your visit.

One companion is allowed with the patient to the center and to the doctor’s office

Tips are not allowed at the center. Please do not give any tips to any staff. It is considered an insult at DHMC

Urgent or emergency cases are not seen at the center. Emergency cases should see doctors at the ER of the nearest hospital to their home.

For medical reports and receipts: An official ID card is required to open a patient’s file and very especially it is mandatory if the patient requests a medical report or a receipt. Any report or receipt shall be issued on the date of the day the patient obtained the service.
