If I have pain and swelling of my joints, you might be suffering of rheumatoid arthritis. But this is not a rule AT ALL..
There are other disorders other than rheumatoid arthritis that can affect the joints and have similar symptoms like those of rheumatoid arthritis
 
The rheumatologist can, through detailed history taking sort out those different disorders from rheumatoid arthritis. So, we strongly advice you not to try to self-diagnose any symptoms that you might get just because you read about them on google because you will only get confused and tired with so many possibilities and at the end of the day, this is a doctor's job.
Remember this word always..
Log on the internet when you have a diagnosis and you are looking for patient education
Not when you have symptoms and are looking for diagnosis..
